The fourth newsletter of the YESDGs project is now available online, providing a detailed report on the piloting activities carried out across Europe. This edition focuses on the direct experiences of young people and youth workers who tested the educational materials developed within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The piloting activities offered a unique opportunity to explore new learning methodologies and address global challenges such as climate change.

Within the newsletter, you will discover the activities carried out in the various partner countries: Ireland, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Lithuania, and Greece. Each country organized interactive workshops, discussion sessions, and practical activities, gathering participant feedback to improve and refine the educational materials before their large-scale dissemination. Among the topics discussed, issues related to sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and the localization of SDGs emerged.

Ireland: the piloting program involved young people from rural areas in Ireland, focusing on translating global challenges into local actions, such as housing sustainability.

Italy: in Potenza students from the Classical High School participated in workshops on the 2030 Agenda and SDGs, reflecting on concrete solutions for climate change.

Lithuania: in Vilnius, the project engaged young Ukrainian migrants, using the flipped learning method to promote interactive learning.

Portugal: in Porto, participants explored the educational materials from the YESDGs platform, focusing on social entrepreneurship and youth collaboration.

Greece: An online session organized by Innovation Hive involved young people and youth workers in discussions on SDGs, concluding with an interactive quiz.

The newsletter also previews the upcoming YESDGs Hackathon, which will take place in Potenza (Italy) in June. This event will bring together 40 young people and youth workers from across Europe, with the goal of developing concrete solutions for climate change. The ideas generated will be compiled into the YESDGs Manifesto, which will give a voice to young people and their solutions to address climate change.

Stay tuned for all the upcoming updates!
